Felipe Morales, 97 of Orlando, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at his son's home in Lake City.  Mr. Morales was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Armando Morales Cano and Josephina Avila Morales.  He had made his home for many years in Orlando and previously in New York City, New York.  Mr. Morales was a World War II veteran of the United States Army and he also served in the United States Army Air Corp during Korea.  He retired from the Veterans Administration as the Chief Finance Officer with over 30 years of service.  Mr. Morales was preceded in death by one son, Edgar Morales; and his wife of 69 years, Hilda Cecilia Morales.

Survivors include his two sons, Victor Morales (Barbara), Lake City and Felipe A. Morales (Mildred), Orlando; one sister, Ligia Talevera Morales, Orlando; 7 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.  Interment with military honors will follow.
