Mr. Faustin "Dusty" Gallegos, IV, 77, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the HCA FL Lake City Hospital following an extended illness. He is the son of the late Faustin and Dorothy Marie Gallegos, III, and was preceded in death by one daughter Yvonne Gallegos Pendarvis and one sister Valerie Weaver. Dusty had made Lake City his home since 1973 after moving here from St. Cloud, FL. he retired in 2006 from the State Law Enforcement of Florida and was a member of the Lake City Masonic Lodge, F&AM #27, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was an avid turkey hunter. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the Miami Dolphins and Florida Gators, and enjoyed snacks and a good bourbon. He was known to many as Pop or Papa.

Dusty is survived by his wife of eight years of marriage Ann Kemp Gallegos, Lake City, FL. three sons Faustin "Rusty" Gallegos, V, (Lindsay) Tucson, AZ; Cody Gallegos, Lake City, FL and Jordan Little (Megan) Lake City, FL; three daughters Rachel Sheldon (Jay) and Ashley Feagle (Brandon) both of Lake City, FL and Marissa Esposito, Naples, FL. his grandchildren Faustin, David, Braedon, Anthony, Alyssa, Levi, Landry, and Lainey. And one great-grandchild Grant. His cousins Arlene, Michael, and Ronnie Alford, all of Melbourne, FL; and special friends Tim Bingham (Bridgett), Ashton, Brooklyn, and Case Michael and Pat Gallegos all of Lake City, FL. and Eric Piesel (Dawn) Lake City, FL and a host of extended family and friends also survive.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Forest lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lake City, FL. with Speaker Jerry Lawerence Bullard officiating. Interment will follow graveside service. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 A.M. till service time at Gateway – Forest lawn Funeral Home in Lake City, FL.
