Evelyn Milton Beardsley, 94 of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at the Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville.  She was born in Thomasville, Georgia to the late Andrew Milton and Lilly Alred Cox Milton. Mrs. Beardsley had made her home in the Lake City and Fort White communities since 1976.  She was a member of Ramona Park Church in Lake City and enjoyed going to church and being part of her church family.  Mrs. Beardsley worked almost 50 years as a Registered Nurse.  She loved playing cards, crafting, sewing, traveling and was a huge reader.  Mrs. Beardsley was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Daniel "Dan" Beardsley; one son, Daniel Beardsley; one daughter, Byrnie Beardsley; and her sister, Eugenia Croley.

Survivors include her two sons, Mike Beardsley (Betsy) and William "Will" Beardsley (Christine) all of Lake City; two daughters, Laura Rhodes (Buddy), Lake City and Tess Leary, Jacksonville; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Ramona Park Church.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be prior to the service at the church from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
