Emily Ann Durrance Harden, 74, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, May 29, 2025 at the Haven Hospice – Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City after an extended illness. She was born in Lake City on July 25, 1950 to the late William Manon Durrance and Helen Mershon Durrance. She worked for over 20 years with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lake City and was a faithful member of the Hopeful Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, spending time with her family and friends as well as the "Friday Night Lights" watching her granddaughter on the UCHS Dance and Flag team. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Daniel "Dannie" Harden; her son, John Daniel Harden; and her brother, Gilbert Durrance.

She is survived by her son, Robert Harden (Kari) of Providence; grandchildren, Hunter Ash (Datein) of Live Oak, Will Harden of Providence (Lexi Saunders) and Delani Harden of Providence; two great-grandchildren, Emeri and Elsie Ash; along with her brothers, Billy Durrance (Kathleen) of Lake City and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Mrs. Harden will be conducted onMonday, June 2, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the Hopeful Baptist Church with Dr. Zeb Cook and Dr. Billy Young officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church.
