Obituary

Elleon B. Dorsett, "Sue", "SuSu", 83 of Branford, Florida, died October 26, 2021 in Lake City, Florida. Su-Su was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts, April 24, 1938 to Robert Adair Babcock and Lucia Sleeper. She was the sixth of eight children. She married Thomas L. Dorsett, Jr., her "Eternal Valentine" and best friend, February 14, 1963. She is survived by her husband Tom, of 58 years, Son Lee, Daughter Allison (Dave) and five grandchildren Abbey, Bailey, Collin, Libby, and Colby. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Lucia, sisters Polly, Betty Ann, Weezie, Marnie, and brothers Bobby and Bill, as well as a grandson, Brady, and not to be forgotten her beloved dog, 'Lil D. She graduated from Greenfield High School, where she was a cheerleader and Miss Franklin County. She attended and graduated from Perry Normal School, and Keene State College. She was a teacher for 42 years. She taught in three states: Massachusetts, Vermont, and Florida, The Bement School, Tunbridge Central, Kenansville, Live Oak, Madison, Okeechobee, Flood Brook, Ascutney, Suwanee Middle School, and Branford. While serving as the Dancing Dolls Sponsor at Suwannee High School she led them to a National Competition in Dallas, Texas. As a teacher she loved to direct plays, especially musicals. She was adored and loved by her students. Sue loved to work in the yard, garden, and in her flower beds. She had an infectious smile and loved to laugh and giggle, especially with her sisters, once known as the Live Five. She was a faithful and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
