Elizabeth "Libby" Ann Mullen

Elizabeth "Libby" Mullen, 82 of Lake City, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 19, 2026. She was born in Anderson, SC, the oldest of three children, to the late Frank Hofmeister and Grace Holmes Hofmeister. Mrs. Mullen is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Harold "Pete" Mullen; and their beloved Doberman, Butch. She was raised in the Miami area and had made Lake City her home since 1979 having moved here from Ft. Lauderdale when Mr. Mullen got a job with Bell South. Her passions were drinking good coffee, tending to her plants, and watching science fiction with her many family and friends. 

Survivors include a brother, Frank M. Hofmeister (Carol Ann), of Simpsonville, SC; and a sister, Susan Solomon (Harold), of Lake City, FL. Numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews also survive.

A celebration of life will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Haven Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center at 6037 W US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055.
