Mr. Edward "ED" Earl Hanon, 70, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL, following an extended illness. He is the son of the late Donald and Ella Mae Stewart Hanson and is preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Davis, and one sister, Wanda Hanson. Ed enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, shooting pool, he enjoyed Martial Arts, and he liked to piddle.

Ed is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Barbara Koon, Branford, FL; two brothers, James Davis, Lake City, FL; Donald Crosby (Denise), Hawthorne, FL; one sister, Sandra Batson, North Carolina.

A memorial service for Mr. Edward "Ed" Earl Hanson will be conducted on September 10, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
