Dorra R. Walker, 84, departed this life on July 9, 2013 to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus. She was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas and moved to Miami, FL as a young girl. She lived there until 1980 when she moved to Lake City. Since the day of her salvation on June 9, 1963, she was active in many areas of church from teaching the beginners class to teaching the adult sunday school class. She sang in the church choir and a group and also played the piano and guitar. She currently sat on the Board of Remnant Ministries as Secretary/Treasurer. She traveled with her daughter in the ministry and when home attended New Beginning Fellowship Church. She loved to tell people about Jesus and has touched many lives for Him over her lifetime. She was a powerful woman of God and will be greatly missed as a worker in the vineyard of the Lord. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his "saints". Ps 116:15.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Henry L. Walker and her daughter , Evangelist Deborah Lynn Hale of Remnant Ministries.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at 3 P.M. at the New Beginning Fellowship Church on State Road 242 with Pastor Ulis Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be l hour before the service at the church (2 P.M. A
