Dorothy Anne Register, 74 of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at her home.  She was born in Portsmouth, VA a daughter to the late Joseph and Helen Garrett Cosner.  Mrs. Register had made her home in Lake City since 1964 having moved here from Portsmouth, VA.  She was of the Assembly of God faith and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  Mrs. Register was very artistic and enjoyed making ceramics and painting.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Garry Cosner and two sisters, Cheryl Cosner Sigmond and Karen Cosner Bunch.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years this coming August, Ronald Register, Lake City; her children, Teresa Lorraine Brooker (Steven Wayne), Lake City, Ricky Register (Debbie), Lake City, Michael Haywood Register (Mary), Lake City and Bryan Dean Register (Danielle), Madison, AL; one sister, Jeannene Midgett (Eddie), Council Bluffs, Iowa; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Istre officiating.  Interment will follow.  Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
