Mrs. Dorothy Louise Clements, 89, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, March 17, 2022 at the Haven-Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center after an extended illness. She was born in Tampa, Florida on December 27, 1932 to the late William Morgan Crews and Florence Stalvey Crews. She was a Columbia High School graduate and served as an Administrative Assistant with First Baptist Church of Gainesville as well as Lakeside Baptist Church in Lakeland while her late husband was serving as Pastor. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Lake City, where her late husband served as Pastor from 1991 until his retirement in 2021. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, cross stitching, crocheting as well as sewing. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, Rev. Ivan Clements in 2021 and her daughter Deborah Louise Graham preceded her in death in 2001.
She is survived by her son, Ivan K. Clements, Jr. (Becky Ann) of Deland, FL; daughter, Millie Rebecah Clements of Lake City; grandchildren, Trey Goff (Amy), Jason Goff, Richard Graham, David Clements (Nicole), Amanda Henshaw (Nelson), Sarah Ehling (Daniel), and Devin Nicely (Misty); and seven great grandchildren.
A funeral service for Mrs. Clements will be conducted on Monday, March 21, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Mimbs officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be considered to Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center, 6037 West US HWY 90, Lake City, FL, 32055.
