Mrs. Donna Soucinek Augustson, 94, of Lake City passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024 at the E.T. York Hospice House in Gainesville. A native of Clinton, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late John Howard and Hazel Kathryn Scott Peters and had lived in Illinois before moving to Lake City in 1967. She loved to cook (she owned 2 restaurants), playing cards, bingo, dancing, camping, and had owned Dependable Plumbing. Her life centered around her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands Frank Soucinek and Lou Augustson, her sons Charles Baker and Scott Baker, brother, Dick Peters, and sister Betty Taylor, granddaughter Christina Baker.

Mrs. Augustson is survived by her son Frank Soucinek, Jr. (Cindy); daughters, Charm Greene (Al), and Michele Monahan; sister Tootie Jones; sister-in-law, Wanda Peters; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mrs. Augustson will be conducted on Friday, August 23 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Al Greene officiating. The family will hold private committal services at Mt. Beulah Cemetery.
