Mr. Donald Keith Riley, 93, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Suwannee Valley Care Center (Haven Hospice) in Lake City, FL following an extended illness. He was the son of the late Robert and Emily Nelch Riley and was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-six years of marriage in 2017 Ms. Dolores Jean Riley and his daughter Linda Diane Lawrence.  Mr. Donald had made Lake City his home since 2000 after moving here from Boca Raton, FL. he worked on the Apollo teams with IBM contracting and was a radio repairman while serving his country in the United States Airforce, which turned into a career with IBM. He was an avid scuba diver/spear fisherman, and built his own spear guns, he holds a pilot license, built his own aircraft, and was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) since 1978. He also invented several pieces of equipment for the Apollo program. He was greatly loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

Mr. Donald is survived by his son Steven Riley (Donna) North Carolina, two daughter's Donna K.  Jennings, Lake City, FL; and his son in law Bo, Tallahassee, FL. one sister Evelyn Montgomery, Conway, Arkansas, six grandchildren Matthew Riley (Jacque)London, England, Kimberly Mills (Kyle) North Carolina, Michelle Walker, Melbourne, FL; Summer Bertagna, Cocoa, FL; Grace Waugh, North Carolina, and Jacob Heyward, Madison, AL; nine great-grandchildren also survive Holly and Aden Walker, Diego, Isabella, and Natalia Bertagna, Issac and Ivan Hunt and Reed and Camryn Mills.
