Donald F. Mong, 70, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 23, 2013. He was born September 12, 1942 in Union City, Indiana to the late La Don and Clarice (Flory) Mong and a graduate of Mississinawa Valley High School Class of 1961. He moved to Cape Coral, FL, in 1980 as a general contractor and horse boarding stable owner before retiring to Lake City, FL in 2006. Donnie lived his life loving and serving the Lord.
Donnie is survived by his wife of 37 years: Marcia Sue (Suzie) Mong; son: William Mong (Christi), Avon Park, FL; two daughters: Kaye Barnes (Jeff), Anderson, IN, and Patricia Anne Dixon (Chuck), Wauchula, FL.; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brother: Ronald Mong, Upper Sanduskey, OH; sister: Janet Hunley, Indianapolis, IN.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 12 P.M. in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
