Donald Ray "Don" Dicks, 70, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Haven-Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center after an extended illness. He was born in Lake City on August 14, 1951 to the late Raymond Dicks and Mae "Trudy" Blum Dicks. He worked for Occidental Chemical Corporation in White Springs as a Drag Line Electrical Mechanic for many years and was a member of The Vineyard Church here in Lake City. In his spare time, he enjoyed aggravating his family and friends any chance he got, fishing, and cooking for his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Ware and his sister, Joann Kotait.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Dicks of Lake City; daughters, Cathy Dicks (Sef Venegas) of Washington State, Jennifer Lynch (Don) of Lake City and Kimberly Dicks of Lake City. Eight grandchildren, Austin L., Charlie, Austin W., Halle, Riley, Sam, Jessie and Tyee; three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Payton and William along with numerous extended family and friends also survive.

A Memorial Visitation will be held for Don on Monday evening, April 11, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
