Donald Brookes Davis, 85, of White Springs, passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, June 29, 2024 after an extended illness. He was born in Oakland, Maryland on May 26, 1939 to the late Rev. C.B. Davis and Gladys Lewis Davis. He has made the White Springs area his home most of his life and was a member of the White Springs Methodist Church. He was the owner and operator of D&D Garage for many years; and in his spare time he enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing and tinkering on things. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Beverly Davis; sister, Betty Butcher and his step-daughter, Libby Bullard Holbrook.

He is survived by his son, Chad Davis of East Cobb, GA; daughters, Donna Baker (Kilian) and Sissy Beach (Lee) both of Lake City; step-daughters, Martha Hanna (Tom) of Syracuse, NY, Linda Biggs (Bruce) of Parrish, FL and Melody Quick (Jeff) of Anniston, AL. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

A funeral service for Mr. Davis will be conducted on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the White Springs Methodist Church with Pastor Randy Ogburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday evening, July 3, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be considered to the Methodist Children's Home of Florida.
