Doleita "Dee" Busscher, 81 of Lake City, entered her eternal home on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City.  Mrs. Busscher was a daughter to the late Rev. Milton and Louise Corbett Sweat and had made her home in Lake City for the past 55 years having moved here from Axson, Georgia.  She was a Christian by faith and a member of  Destiny Community Church in Newberry, Florida.  Mrs. Busscher was active in the Encore Senior Adult Ministries, visiting the nursing homes and shut ins and working in the nursery taking care of babies, at her church.  She was preceded in death by her sisters, Patsy Oglesby, Marydean Hooper and Tiny Sweat.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Gordon Busscher, Lake City; her four sons, Roger (Cindy) Busscher, Ronny (Rhonda) Busscher, Joey (Lisa) Busscher and Russell (Vickie) Busscher all of Lake City; three sisters, Nolie Musgrove, Annie Ruth Steedley and Diane Langley; her grandchildren, Mandi (Rocky) McKinley, Newberry, Lyndsey (Joey) Hetu, Lake Asbury, Dustin (Brooke) Busscher, Lake City, Deidra Busscher (Sean Bosley), Lake City, Janeen Coleman, Lake City, Martin Busscher, Lake City and Ashlyn Busscher, Lake City; her great-grandchildren, Kendal and Caleb McKinley, Newberry, Carolyn Hopper and Easton Hetu, Lake Asbury, and AJ Busscher, Luke Bosley, Carlin, Kelsyn, Kinsley and Charleigh Coleman all of Lake City; and their dog "Corky"

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 12:00 Noon with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Lake City Church of God.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either the building fund at Destiny Community Church at PO Box 113, Newberry, FL 32669 or to Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center at 6037 W US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055.
