Obituary for Diana Harden Snelgrove

Diana Harden Snelgrove, age 77, passed away peacefully at home, May 22, 2025, in Fort White, Florida, surrounded by her family. Diana was born on January 15, 1948, in Lake City, Florida. A lifelong learner, Diana was determined to pursue her education despite the many responsibilities of raising a family and managing a business. Her unwavering commitment to personal growth led her to earn a bachelor's degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University.

Diana began her professional journey at the State Exchange Bank. In 1979, alongside her beloved husband, Charles Wayne Snelgrove, she purchased the H & R Block franchise in High Springs, Florida. Through hard work and vision, they expanded the business to include offices in both Alachua and High Springs. Diana became an enrolled agent, earning the trust of countless clients over the years. In addition to their tax business, Diana and Wayne also operated RadioShack for several years, reflecting their entrepreneurial spirit and shared dedication. Her faith was the foundation of her life. Diana and Wayne were baptized and raised their children at Everybody's Tabernacle. Their spiritual journey later brought them to Destiny Community Church, where they remained active members and found joy in serving others. Church life and community service were not just activities for Diana—they were extensions of her deep and abiding faith.

Diana is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Charles Wayne Snelgrove; her daughters, Dede Darby (Tim) of Fort White, Florida, Charlene Moore (Ron) of Merrimack, New Hampshire, and Amanda Payne (Eric) of High Springs, Florida. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Ashley Darby Macarages, Cameron Darby (Devon), Chase Darby, Joshua Moore (Lacy), Caleb Moore (Laura), Hannah Payne, and Madison Payne. Diana was also blessed with 5 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her endless joy.

Diana is preceded in death by Pauline Wheeler Harden (mother), Robert Lee Harden (father), Kenneth Harden (brother), and Paula Harden (sister).  She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Dr. Robert N. Harden (Liz), Carol Walker, Gary Harden (Peggy), Carrie Holloway, and numerous nieces, nephews.

To know Diana was to witness a life lived entirely through the lens of the Word of God. Whether she was nurturing her marriage, raising her children, operating her businesses, or serving her church, every decision and every moment was grounded in her faith. She and Wayne built their lives on the unwavering foundation of putting God first, and it showed in every aspect of their journey together. Diana's deep love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was evident in the time she spent with them and the pride she carried in their accomplishments. They were not just part of her life—they were one of her greatest gifts.  Diana's legacy of faith, family, and perseverance will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her. On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, Diana's life will be honored with a memorial service at Destiny Community Church in Newberry, Florida. Visitation is scheduled for 4:00 p.m., and the service will begin at 5:00 p.m. Everyone who knew and loved her are welcome to come and honor her life and legacy
