Mr. Devin Hill Thomas, 47, of Lake City passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at his residence. Born in Lake City, he was the son of H.L. and Sylvia M. Thomas, and graduated from Union County High School. Devin was employed with GRU in Gainesville, and was a new member of Hopeful Baptist Church. He never met a stranger and always helped anyone in need. He loved to spend time watching his favorite movie "Riddick", and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching movies. Devin always had boat loads of school spirit and boy did he love the Union County High Tigers. He wouldn't dare turn down a beautiful day to cruise the river with family and friends. His family loved him dearly and he loved his family with all of his heart and he will greatly be missed. He was preceded in death by his father, H.L. Thomas.

Devin is survived by his daughter, Mason Lauren Thomas; wife, Lori Hygema Thomas; mother, Sylvia Miles Thomas; brother, Mark L. Thomas(Kimberly); nephews that were like his sons, Kurt M. Thomas, Christopher M. Thomas (Kalen), and Keil Snyder; great nephew Tripp Wade Thomas.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Union County.
