Mr. Delbert Ray Alexander, 61, of Lake City passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at his residence following a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Lake City, Delbert is the son of Bert and Kate Cason Alexander. He graduated from Columbia High School with the class of 1977 where he played the Tuba in the concert band then attended Lake City Community College. Delbert enjoyed music and played many instruments, enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was most proud of completing his CNA  license. Delbert was a member of Athens Baptist Church.

Delbert is survived by his father and mother, Bert and Kate Alexander; daughter, Danielle Olson (Zachary); brother, Steve Alexander (Donna); grandchildren, Crosley and Hayes Olson; nephew, Brad Alexander; niece, Amber Alexander; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mark Spradley officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Athens Baptist Church, 9090 SW CR 240, Lake City, FL 32024 or the charity of your choice.
