David Hastings Thornton, 56 of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center in Lake City.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Truby Leslie Thornton and Joan Louise Thornton; and his step mother, Mary Thornton.

Survivors include his partner of 23 years, Dawn Crews; his brother, John Leslie Thornton; his sister, Eunice Anne Beaver (Roger); uncle, Daniel Thornton (Anna); son, Joshua Suggs; step brothers, Mark and Sammy Beaver; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family, Bryan and Jessica and TJ and Tiffany.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Abundant Life Church in Lake City with Pastor Cagney Tanner officiating.  Interment will follow at Brown Cemetery near Starke, Florida.
