David J. Steiskal

February 20, 1968 - December 26,2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David John Steiskal on December 26, 2024, at the age of 56, David died doing what he loved, a fitting testament to his dedication and passion for life.

A man of boundless energy and determination, David was the proud owner of Independent Environmental Transport a business, where he poured his heart and soul into his work. Outside of his profession, he found joy in collecting model trains and rockets, hobbies that reflected his lifelong curiosity and love of building and exploration.

David's greatest pride, however, was his family. He is survived by his beloved children: Kara O'Donoghue, Kayla, Elliott Steiskal, and Mickie Norton, as well as 11 cherished grandchildren who brought endless joy to his life. He is also survived by his mother Lillian Jenkins, brother Scott Steiskal, and many nieces and nephews. His legacy of hard work, kindness, and a spirit of adventure will live on in those who knew and loved him.

A celebration of David's life will be held at Phish Tails, Monday, December 30, 2024, 5 pm-7 pm where friends and family will gather to honor the memory of a man who was always on the move, always creating, and always caring.

David's journey has come to an end, but his memory will remain forever etched in our hearts. Buckeye 10-7 over and out!
