Mr. David Earl Kelly passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at the Kindred Hospital in Tampa, FL, following an extended illness.  He was born on September 1, 1952, to the late Lonnie and Eula Lucille Grant Kelly.   He was educated in Columbia Public School System and graduated from Columbia High School in 1973.

David was a faithful and dedicated Christian.  He obeyed the gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was baptized into the Lord's church at the Northside Church of Christ.  In 2008, David moved to Winter Haven, FL, where this became his home.  He was a faithful and dedicated member of Bartow Church of Christ, where he enjoyed serving the Lord's Supper.  He also enjoyed fixing cars, playing pool, traveling, spending time with his family, and barbecuing.

His parents, five brothers, and three sisters preceded him in death. David is survived by his wife of eighteen years Edna Elliot Kelly, Winter Haven, FL; one son Terrance Kelly, two daughters, Sharon Kelly William, West Palm Beach, FL and a special daughter Ena Lawson, Lakeland, FL, four stepchildren, Samuel Lawson, Jr. (Ella) Register, GA, Roderick Lawson, Melbourne, FL; Franshawn Lawson, Polk City, FL; and Denette Lawson, Bear Delaware, and two brothers, Narvell Kelly (Betty) and Deleon Kelly (Marilyn) both of Lake City, FL; two sisters May Ella Blankenship and Verner Preston both of West Palm Beach, FL. one special niece Doris Taylor, Lake City, FL.

Funeral Services for Mr. David Earl Kelly will be conducted at 11:00 A.M.  Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the Northside Church of Christ with Dr. Philip Mobley officiating. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Friday, April 7, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Lake City, FL. Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. 3596 South US HWY 441 Lake City, FL 32025.
