Daniel Lee Woods, 27, of Lake City, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 after a sudden illness. He was born in Gainesville on August 10, 1995 to Sonhwa Choe Woods and Wayne Daniel Woods. He has been a life-long resident of Lake City and was a 2013 graduate of Columbia High School. He attended Christ Central and was self-employed in Lawn Care. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and going to the gun range target practicing. He is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Haksool and Torichi Im Choe; and his Paternal Grandfather, Louis Franklin Woods.

He is survived by his son, Westyn Wayne Woods of Lake City; parents, Wayne & Sonhwa Woods both of Lake City; brother, Michael Wayne Woods of Lake City; paternal grandmother, Frances Emma Woods of Lake City; and his nephew, Malcolm Gabriel Maestri – Woods.

A funeral service for Mr. Woods will be conducted on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
