Daniel Gordon Devereux, 72, of Lake City, Fl., passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Shands Lake Shore Hospital.

Born October 12, 1942 in Pinckney, Michigan to the late John R. Devereux and Lillian Doughty. He served in the Untied States Navy during Vietnam. He was a member and usher at First United Methodist Church of Lake City, the Lake City Masonic Lodge # 27, the Lake City Shrine Club, the Jacksonville Morocco Motorcycle Escort, Scottish Rite, and The American Legion # 57. He also was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He loved his family and especially liked Thanksgiving and Christmas with them. He loved to read, work on old Farmall tractors, play bluegrass music on guitar and mandalin and ride his Harley

Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years; Gloria Dicks Devereux, of Lake City, Fl., six children; Denise Popp (John), Cindy Devereux, JoAnne Devereux, all of Ontario, Canada, Dana Laky (Rick), of New York, David Liston (Tenna), Scott Liston (Charlene) both of Lake Butler, Fl., thirteen grandchildren; Matt Devereux, Brandon Petrella, Talia Grose, Travis Birley, Tyler Birley, Joey Walton, Nick Laky, Steven Laky, Jacob Laky, Matt Liston, Chelsea Liston, Brandon Liston, Brittany Liston, and four great grandchildren; Annaston Liston, Noah Liston, Bailey Liston, Taylor Liston and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service for Mr. Devereux will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 17, 2014 at First United Methodist Church of Lake City, Fl., with Rev. Jeff Tate officiating.
