Mrs. Dana Brown Kingery, 80, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the HCA Florida Lake City Hospital in Lake City, FL. Dana was born September 23, 1944, in Wilmington, NC. She is the daughter of the late Charles Robert and Ethel Bailey Brown and is preceded in death by one brother Charles Robert Brown, Jr. Dana had made Lake City her home for the past seventeen years after moving here from Marlton, New Jersey. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Cannon Creek Ward, Lake City, Florida.

She enjoyed making quilts for family and couples getting married in her ward. She delighted in making nylon baby blankets for her Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and babies born within the Cannon Creek Ward.  In addition to quilting, she found joy in reading, kayaking, puzzles, going to the beach, walks with friends, card games, board games, and riding her bike.

One of her greatest joys was being with her children and grandchildren, she was blessed with her Mother Ethel's "English" sense of humor and loved playing little jokes on her family. Dana is survived by her husband of sixty-two years Fredrick Kingery, Lake City, FL; their seven children:  Frederick Kingery, FL; K.Leigh Smith (Glenn), St. George, UT; Sheri Riddle, American Fork, UT; Jeffery Kingery (Erica), Deltona, FL; Michael Kingery (Teena) Winter Park, FL; David Kingery (Damaris), Springfield, VA; and Zachary Kingery (Danielle), Grand Junction, CO; 38 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by her two sisters Lela Pace (Charles), Morehead City, NC; and Becky Slater, Lone Pine, CO plus a host of extended family and friends.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Dana Brown Kingery will be conducted on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 10:30 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Cannon Creek Ward, with Bishop Dan Halladay officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Gateway-Forest lawn Funeral Home in Lake City, FL. Interment will follow on December 5, 2024, at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, in Jacksonville, FL at 1:30 P.M.
