Daisy Lee Cason, 94 of Fort White, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City.  She was a lifelong resident of Fort White and a daughter to the late Walter Cecil and Letha Fielding Dennis.  Mrs. Cason was of the Baptist faith and a longtime member of Elim Baptist Church.  She loved being outdoors mowing, doing her yardwork, tending to her flowers and spending time with her family.  Her main hobby was babysitting her grandchildren and she was a very accommodating grand and great-grandmother.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Curtis Cason, one son, Larry Cason and one brother, Earl Dennis.

Survivors include her son, Billy Cason (Anne), Fort White; two daughters, Carolyn Crawford and Debbie Mahaffey both of Fort White; eight grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren and one great-great grand-child with two on the way.

Memorial services will be conducted on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday from 10-11:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center at 6037 W US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055 or to the Elim Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at PO Box 448, Fort White, FL 32038, in memory of Mrs. Cason.
