Cynthia "Cindy" Lee Houston, 58, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, August 12, 2022 at the Haven Hospice – Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City after a brief illness. She was born in Daytona Beach, Florida on July 10, 1964 to the late James Smith and Emma Lee Bryant Smith. She has made Lake City her home most of her life, and worked alongside her husband, Dale, setting up Mobile Homes and helped her mother as a vendor at the local Lake City Flea Market. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the river, boating and shopping.

She is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Dale Houston of Lake City; sons, Matt Houston (Kim) and James Houston both of Lake City; and her brother and half-brother, Jimmy Smith (Kim) of Lake City and James Smith of Tennessee. Five grandchildren along with many extended family members and friends also survive.

A Memorial Gathering for Mrs. Houston will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. to 12 Noon at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
