Cynthia "Syndi" Gentry

Cynthia “Syndi” Kay Patterson Gentry, born April 11, 1964, passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2026.

Syndi spent her career in the hospitality management industry. She made sure that staff was always treated with kindness and respect and that customer service was always a top priority.

She enjoyed being outdoors on the water, in a jeep, or in the mountains. She lived her life free and doing what made her happy.

Syndi was preceded in death by husband, James Gentry, parents Robert Orion Patterson and Jean Patterson, brothers Chester Earnst Gernon and William Francis Gernon and sister Mary Sue Gernon Fulkerson. She is survived by her son, Sherman Gentry (wife Stephanie), sisters Tina Marie Patterson Riley (husband Doug) and Gloria Jean Patterson Mullins (husband Paul), and brother John Robert Patterson (wife Cassie), grandchildren Kullen and Sebastian, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

Syndi’s remains will be cremated, and her ashes will be scattered in a private family ceremony.
