IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Crystal Dawn
Hollingsworth
June 28, 1984 – April 23, 2025
Crystal Dawn Lee Hollingsworth, 40, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, April 23, 2025 at the Haven Hospice – Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Lexington, KY on June 28, 1984, and has lived most of her life in the Lake City area. She worked for a number of years with Holly Electric in Lake City and was a graduate of the Florida Gateway College in Lake City where she obtained her AA and went on for her B.S in Criminal Justice at Saint Leo University. Crystal was known to be a PITA at times, but she was everyone's absolute favorite PITA. She also enjoyed singing, dancing, camping, fishing; but of all things, when she was fighting cancer, she always managed to keep that big smile she possessed on her face, stayed positive, and fought with all she had to overcome the illness. She always remained a calming and positive force for everyone going through cancer and tried to always keep others upbeat. She was also an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. She is preceded in death by her loving maternal grandparents, Danville and Betty Lou Coffey, and her loving paternal grandmother, Sandra West.
She is survived by her former companion Donald Hollingsworth II, her mother and father, Carrie Jean West and Randall William West; paternal grandfather, John William West; step-sons, Matthew and Donald Hollingsworth, III; step-daughters, Hailey, Caitlin and Amanda Hollingsworth; brothers, Steven Thacker (Julie) and Bradley Dalton West; and her sister, Trina Gayle Abel (Kevin). She is also survived by 3 Aunts, 5 Uncles, and many loving friends.
A celebration of Crystal's Life will be conducted on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Sunday afternoon, April 27, 2025 from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
