Constance Stewart Saunders, 93 of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Solaris HealthCare of Lake City surrounded by her family.  She was born in Cedar Key, Florida on June 23, 1932.  Mrs. Saunders had made Lake City her home for over 70 years.  She was a longtime member of Parkview Baptist Church serving as a dedicated Sunday School Teacher and assisting with Vacation Bible School for many years.  Mrs. Saunders was a retired Avon Representative and she always enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Morris M. Saunders; her parents, Charles T. and Gertrude G. Stewart; her siblings including her twin brother, Conrad Stewart and Donald Stewart and wife Mary, sisters, Gordene Stewart DuBose and husband A.D. and Laverta Roper and husband Al; brother in law, Wallace Johns; and one grandson, Brad Hunter.

Survivors include her children, Charles (Barbara) Saunders, Lake City, Randy (Debbie) Saunders, Lake City, Barbara (Mike) Driggers, Jasper and Brenda (George) Hunter, Lake City; her sister, Trudie Johns, Lake City; 8 grandchildren, Brian (Wendy) Saunders, Lake City, Bill Saunders, Dallas, TX, Travis (Laura) Saunders, Lake City, Scott (Julie) Driggers, Jasper, Daniel (Cathy) Carver, Live Oak, Laura (Bryon) Maxwell, Boca Grande, Ashley (Greg) Summers, Lake City and Mallory (Greg) Pruitt, Lake City;  19 great grandchildren, Cameron & Lexi Saunders, Will, Molly, Bo and Blake Saunders, Bri & Hunter Driggers, Brianna Carver & Aubrie Blackburn, Aniston, Liam & Miles Maxwell. Logan, Adalyn, & Everett Summers, Zach, Kiley & Dexter Pruitt: 2 great-great grandchildren, Theo Blackburn & Langston Saunders; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Saunders will be conducted on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Chip Parker officiating.  Interment will follow.  A time of visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
