Mrs. Connie B. Jones age 85, died December 8, 2014 at Willowbrook, Lake City, FL. She was born in Macon, Ga. to the late Clarence Butts and Pearl Jones Butts and is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, James E. (Jim) Jones, Sr., sister Lillian Belflower and brother Clarence Conrad Butts.

Mrs. Jones is survived by one son, James E. "Jim" Jones, Jr. (Carolyn), Tyler, TX, two granddaughters Deanna Jones Miller, (Lance), Tyler, TX and Michele Jones, Houston, TX, brother Seaborne Oscar Butts (LaJeanne), Houston, TX, and niece Betty Belflower Stoetzer (Duke), Dunnellon, FL.

Mrs. Jones was a member of First Baptist Church, Lake City, and Gideons International. She received a Masters Degree in Librarianship and was Director of the Dorchester County Library in St. George, S.C. before retiring to Lake City in 1991.

A Funeral Service will be conducted Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with the Reverend Robert Bass officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with family and friends will be held one hour (10:00am-11:00am) prior to the service at the funeral home.
