Mr. Clyde Oscar Timmons, age 84, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on January 15, 2026 at Magnolia Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Gainesville, of natural causes.  He was born on June 21, 1941, in Providence, Union County, Florida.  He was the third child of 6 children of the late Bails and Mae Willie Shallar Timmons.

Clyde served in the United States Navy for eight years as a boiler tender and repairman before being honorably discharged.  He returned to Lake City, Florida where he worked as a construction contractor until retirement.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 41 years, Eva Snellgrove Timmons, daughter Deborah Lynch (Cameron), two stepsons Cary Maxwell (Kim) and Cliff Maxwell (Sandra), six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Clyde was a passionate fisherman, loved playing and watching golf, and loved to dance with his "baby-doll".

A private celebration of life will be held at a time to be determined.
