Clay Sinjen Buse passed away on March 20, 2026, in a motorcycle accident alongside his fiancée, Syndi Gentry.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, he transitioned his mechanical aptitude into a lifelong career as a long-haul truck driver. Over the course of his life, Clay logged millions of miles across the country, seeing more of the country from a driver’s seat than most ever will.
He was a true enthusiast of anything that moved. Whether he was behind the wheel of a Corvette or the handlebars of a bike, he was at his best when he was in motion. Beyond the highway, Clay found that same sense of freedom on the water. He loved sailing and being out on the ocean, appreciating the mechanics of a boat as much as the vastness of the sea.
Clay was preceded in death by his previous wife, Rhodine Buse. He is survived by his children, Brandie Andreoli, Bethany Buse, and Matthew Buse; and 5 grandchildren.
Clay’s remains will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered in a private family ceremony. Arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S. US HWY 441, Lake City, FL, 32025, 386-752-1954. Please leave words of comfort for the family at www.gatewayforestlawn.com.
