Reverend Clarence Alfred Pender passed away on September 21, 2021 at home after a lengthy illness. He is pre-deceased by his parents, brothers and sister. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dannette Reid Pender, his children: Virginia Holt, Phyllis (Jim) Wilson, Willard Edwin (Dean) Pender, Patricia (Tim) Amick, Cora (Carlisle) Hayes, Dan Micah (Gay) Pender and Timothy Howard (Carrie) Pender and Reuven Refaelov.

Clarence was 93 years old and born in Ocala, Florida. He served in the United States Marine Corps. in WW2 as a China Marine, 2nd Div.

Clarence was ordained into the ministry at Wingate Road Baptist Church, Jacksonville, FL in 1971. He served as pastor at multiple Baptist churches for over 40 years in north and central Florida.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Lebanon Baptist Church in Branford.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (www.ifcj.org).
