Ms. Christy Lynn Goens, 69, passed away at her residence an expectedly on Friday, January 24, 2025. She is the daughter of the late Willie Dean and Lessie Sanders Paul. She was preceded in death by one brother Ricky Paul. Ms. Christy had made Lake City her home since 1971 she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sewing, cooking, baking, watching TikTok and America's got Talent.

Ms. Christy is survived by her son Kavin Paul (Cherish), Lake Butler, FL; two daughters Leslie Carruthers (Steven) Lake City, FL and Danielle Phillips, Starke, FL one brother Scott Paul (Robin) Lake City, FL; one sister Deanie Oliva (Vince) McAlpin, FL; one sister-in-law Barbara Paul, Rincon, GA; and her best friend, an oldest granddaughter Harley Phillips. Eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren also survive.

A memorial service for Ms. Christy Lynn Goens will be conducted on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with Pastor Tammy Crews officiating.  A time of visitation with the family will be held from 10:30 A.M. - 11:00 A.M.at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.   Arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S.
