Mr. Christopher Lee Harper, 42, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at his residence following an extended illness. He is the son of Spencer Harper and Dorothy Harkness. Chris is preceded in death by fraternal grandparents Harold and Hazel Harper and his maternal grandparents Buddy Graddy, Sr, and Karlminor Graddy, and his best friend Daniel Harper. Chris had made Lake City his home all his life and he enjoyed watching criminal minds and Law and Order, cooking, and spending time with his family, especially his mother "He was a Mamma's boy" and he took pride in his dressing and shopping.

Chris is survived by his daughter Jade Harper (Tahj) FT. White, FL his mother Dorothy Harkness, and his father Spencer Harper both of Lake City, FL. One brother Craig Harkness, Lake City, FL, one grandson Karter Kelsey, Ft. White, FL., and his best friends Terri Spurling, Lake City, FL, and Jasmine Spurling, Ft. White, FL.

A visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
