Mr. Christopher Nicholas Brown, 42, passed away on Thursday February 20, 2025, at his residence following an illness. Christopher is preceded in death by his grandfather Albert Rivera. Christopher moved to Lake City seven years ago from Davie Florida and was member of the Epiphany Catholic Church, Christopher was an avid reader studied theology attended Knox seminary in Fort Lauderdale as well as others in British Columbia and served as a Catholic Priest, as for sports he loved baseball as well shooting at the gun range riding ATV s and anything around the ocean including fishing and diving. He also liked gardening.

Christopher is survived by his parents Lynn Contreras, his father William Brown one brother Daniel Contreras, his maternal grandmother Eleanor Rivera and his fraternal grandparents Wayne and MaryJane Morris his aunts Trixie Morris, Tonya Morris, Shane and Wendy McClure, and Trudy Haines. His uncles Theodore Morris, Timothy Brown, David and Yevette Rivera and Nicholas and Cheryl Rivera and Thomas Rivera. And a host of cousins and extended family also survive.

Memorial services will be conducted on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Epiphany Catholic Church with Father Diego Vasquez officiating.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the Epiphany Catholic Church from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Arrangements are under the direction of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S US Hwy 441, Lake City, FL 32025.  Please leave words of comfort for the family at www.gatewayforestlawn.com .
