Chief Randell "Randy" Burnham, 53, of Lake City passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Shands At UF. A native and lifelong resident of Lake City, Randy was the son of Randell Arthur Burnham and Erma Lee Mershon, and was a graduate of Columbia High School Class of 1986. He was the Chief of the Lake City Fire Department and incredibly passionate about his career of 32 years and his Fire Department family. His favorite times were spent with his loving wife and family and enjoyed being a "Papa". He was a true friend to everyone he met and never met a stranger. In his spare time, he enjoyed taking trips with his wife, hunting, fishing, camping, and creating the most manicured yard.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Randell Arthur Burnham. Randy is survived by his wife, Marsha Burnham; sons, Brent Burnham (Marisa) and Deven Burnham (Courtni); mother, Erma Lee Mershon Burnham; brother, Andrew Burnham (Angie); sisters, Cindy Duke (Wayne) and Windy Burnham; grandchildren, Lawson Burnham and Blayton Chancey; brother in law, Greg "Turkey" Waldron (Miranda); father and mother in law, Greg and Shirley Waldron; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Chief Burnham will be held at Christian Fellowship Church on HWY 240 on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Lonnie Johns officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday afternoon at the Lake City Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Grandchildren of Randy & Marsha Burnham at First Federal Bank.
