Mrs. Cherokee Alberta Lenette Owens Lampp, 91 of Lake City passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Solaris Healthcare. A native of Ft. Pierce, Florida, she was the daughter of the late James Leroy and Jewell Lenet Hazelief Owens, and had lived in Lake City since 2013. Cherokee was a member of the Orchard Community Church in Lake City. She was preceded in death by her son, G. Ted Hobbs, daughter, Lisa Seay, brothers, Homer Owens, James (Kimo) Owens, Earl Thomas, Timothy Thomas, sisters, Gladys Owens Gillespie, and Vida Owens.
Survivors include her daughter, Laura Hunter-Null (Mike); sons, D. Scott Lightsey (Debbie), J. Wade Hobbs (Barbara), Glenn Lampp (Patty), Wayne Lampp (Yvette), James Lampp (Veronica); 20 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; first cousin, Joyce Kersey; her adopted family Teresa and Robin Westbrook and Stacy Whitehead.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chip Parker officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00-2:00 P.M. (one hour before service). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 or St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105..
