Chaundra Lynn Chancey

Mrs. Chaundra Lynn Chancey, 70, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, FL, following an extended illness. Chaundra Lynn was born August 1, 1955, in Jacksonville, FL. Having a military father, she has lived in various places in the USA and overseas. She is preceded in death by her father, Paxton “Pawpaw” Sullivan, and her mother, Margaret Sullivan. She has made Lake City her home for the past fifty-five years after moving here from Pensacola, FL. She was a member of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church, where she enjoyed teaching children’s church and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her daughter Andrea and granddaughter Mia, going to the beach at St Augustine, taking long walks on the beach shore, traveling, and shopping.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Ben Chancey, Lake City, FL; her daughter, Andrea Huff (Dale Huff), Lake City, FL; and her three grandchildren, Mia-Layne Faith Murrill, Yasmin Huff, and Dillion Huff. Her brother-in-law, Herb Chancey (Martha), two sisters-in-law, Robin Mills (Steve), and Susan Stewart (Mark).

A celebration of life for Lynn Chancey will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church, with Pastor Kevin Hall officiating. Friends and family are warmly invited to attend the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Suwannee Valley Care Center (Haven Hospice), 6037 US HWY 90 W, Lake City, FL 32055.
