Mr. Charles Owen Womeldorf, Jr., 77, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, following an extended illness in Lake City, FL. Mr. Chuck was of the Protestant faith and had retired in Lake City. Mr. Chuck served his country in the National Guard. He retired from the State of Florida in 2013. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his animals. He was an avid volunteer. He enjoyed being outdoors (always down for a new adventure), trips to the mountains, and of course, Disney World.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Owen and Maggie Beck Womeldorf, Sr., and his wife of 52 years, Selmer Womeldorf.

Mr. Chuck is survived by three daughters, Andrea Womeldorf (Russell); Michelle Elder (Keith), and Anna Jones; his two sisters Rebecca Motley (Scott) Jacksonville, FL, and Margaret Youngblood (Terry) Melrose, FL. His Grandchildren Brandi Elder (Luke), Devin Latchman (My-Sheyellea), Brittney Elder (Ronnie) Dakota Jones, Corey Jones (Brandon), Madison Wagner (Johnny), Mason Wagner. His great-grandchildren Haley Morris (Adam), Ashlyn Morris (David), Dalton Morris, Mason Price, Elizabeth Morris, and Jayce Rathel, and four great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Cliff Lyda officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lake City, FL. A time of visitation with the family will be held at 10:30 A.M. prior to the service.
