Charles Timmons, 73, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, January 1, 2024, with his family by his side, after a brief illness. He was born here in Lake City in the Columbia City area on March 23, 1950 to the late W.T. Shallar and Catherine Shallar. He has been a life-long resident of Lake City and was the owner/operator of Timmons Concrete Construction for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed being at the Ichnetucknee River, playing golf and cards, and spending as much time with his grandbabies as possible. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Regina Timmons; and his siblings, Willie Timmons and Juanita Adams.

He is survived by his loving children, Travis Timmons (Tere'sa) of High Springs and Stasia Norris (Andy) of Lake City; his brother, Clyde Oscar Timmons (Eva) of Gainesville; step-sister, Dona Connell of Lake City and his special close friend, Donna Cothran of Lake City. Seven grandchildren, Trent, Raya, Amelia, Maxton, Thayne, Carter and Kyndal also survive.

A Celebration of Life service for Charles will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 10:30 AM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel.
