Mr. Charles Edward Miller, 83, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Suwannee Valley care Center (Haven Hospice) in Lake City. He is the son of the late Carl and Bernadine Klosterman Miller who preceded him in death along with one granddaughter Kalyn Harris. Mr. Charles had made Lake City his home for the past fifty years after moving from Anderson, South Carolina. He earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Louisville and worked and retired as the manager at Social Security for forty-two years. He was a faithful fifty-year member of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church where he was active in the choir, Haiti Missions, and Food for Kids. He served as Board president for Elder Options. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, gardening, baking, and spending time with his family. He served on the CARC Board for many years and was a forty-two-year Florida Gator Sports Enthusiast.

Mr. Charles is survived by his wife of forty-two years Patricia Miller, Lake City, FL one son Chris Harris (Tasha) of Lake City, his four daughters Karen White (Kevin) of Davenport, Robin Rucker (Bobby) of Lake City, Natalie Miller (Chris) of Land O' Lakes, Kim Slanker (Brian) of Lake City, Grandchildren Katie Gile Johnson(Travis) of Jacksonville, Kagan Miller and Malachi Miller of Wesley Chapel, Caleb Harris (Tara) of Lake City, Seth Slanker and Lindsey Slanker of Lake City,  and one great-grandson Caden Harris of Lake City.

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Miller will be conducted on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church with Pastor Kevin Hall officiating. visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will take place following the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lake City.
