Charles Lee Hatcher, 88 of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at his home. He was born in Cordele, Georgia to the late Robert Lee Hatcher and Dallas Hangsworth Hatcher. Mr. Hatcher had made his home in Lake City since the late 1950's and was the owner and operator of Hatcher's Transmission Services in Lake City for many years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and followed Bill Elliott for many years. Mr. Hatcher enjoyed going to the Lake City Flea Market and looking for deals. He always had a project going with his old cars and tractors, tinkering with railroad and wrist watches, watching westerns and fishing when able. Mr. Hatcher enjoyed spending time with his family, especially, his great-grandchildren that he referred to as "The Tribe", Cullen and Campbell.
Survivors include his two daughters, Linda H. Crews and Carolyn Hosford both of Lake City; one sister, Kathleen Britt, Georgia: four grandchildren, Brad Crews (Candice) and their children, Cullen and Campbell, Matt Crews (Bridgett) and their children, Braxten and Baylen, Lisa Huchingson (Joe) and Trey Hosford (Bridget) all of Lake City; eight great-grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services for Mr. Hatcher will be held privately at a later date.
