Mr. Charles Richard "Chuck" Baker, Jr., 60 of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Chuck was born in Chicago, Illinois and was raised in Lake City. He loved to cook out and have camp fires. Chuck enjoyed golfing, playing billiards and following the Florida Gators. He enjoyed the country life and taking rides on the quiet country roads with his brother. Chuck was preceded in death by his wife of 17 years, Lisa Waldron Baker in 2014, one daughter, Christina Baker in 1997 and his father, Charles Richard Baker, Sr., in 1983.

Survivors include his mother, Donna Soucinek Auguston, Lake City; his daughter, Cathy Baker Garcia (Alex), Lawton, OK; two brothers, Scott Baker (Rita), Lulu and Frank Soucinek, Jr. (Cindy), Lake City; two sisters, Charm Greene (Al) and Michelle Monahan (Bob Tittle) all of Lake City; two grandchildren, Raegan Best and Dylan Teegardin both of Killeen, TX and currently expecting a granddaughter in the near future.

A memorial service for Mr. Baker will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the New Beginnings of Life Church,184 SW Windswept Glen, Lake City, FL 32024, with Mr. Al Greene officiating. For more information about New Beginnings of Life Church call 386-365-3334 .
