Charles Anthony Barrett, 51 of White Springs, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the Hadlow Center for Caring in Jacksonville.  He was born in Branford, Florida and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lake City.  Mr. Barrett was an ordained Baptist minister and had previously served as pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Jasper and also as a missionary to the Ukraine.  His ministry also included serving as a chaplain for the Hamilton Correctional Institute in Jasper and Vitas Hospice in Lake City.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Saveria "Sarah" Romeo Barrett.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Josephette Whitlock Barrett, White Springs; his daughter, Sarah Rose Barrett, White Springs; his father, David Barrett, Sr., Brooksville; and three siblings, Edward Barrett, David Barrett, Jr. and Cathy Barrett.

A memorial service honoring the life of Charles Anthony Barrett will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lake City with Pastor Mike Norman officiating.  Mr. Barrett will be privately interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lake City.
