Mrs. Celia Blanche Nettles, 83, of Lake City passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center. A native and lifelong resident of Lake City, she was the daughter of the late Leandous Warren and Zola Mae Blanton Rosier. She was a Homemaker until her boys began school. She then worked in banking and then retired as a mail carrier with USPS. Her family, especially her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she enjoyed every minute she could spend with them. She was preceded in death by her sons, Scott Rae Nettles, Gregory W. Nettles, Larry John Nettles, and Michael Wendle Nettles. Mrs. Nettles is survived by her husband of 65 years, Wendle Nettles; son, Andy Nettles
(Lisa); daughters-in-law, Dee Nettles and Pam Nettles; brothers, Bud Rosier and George Rosier (Marquita); sisters, Cora Lee Hershey and Nellie Jean Hamlin (Fred)grandchildren, Travis Nettles (Lindsey), Tyson Nettles (Marissa Mims) Andrew Nettles (Caroline), Lauren Nettles (Ben Sadler), Haley Nettles, Jackson Nettles, Branden Parrish (Chelsea), Brittney McGee (Travis), Greg Nettles (Ashley), and Chelsee Nettles; 16 great-grandchildren also survive.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake Butler with Bishop Mark Duren presiding. Interment will follow.
