Cecil E. Shaw, 90 of Ft. Payne, Alabama and former longtime resident of Lake City, Florida, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at his home.  He was born in White Springs, Florida to the late Benjamin and Esther Hunter Shaw.  Mr. Shaw served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Lake City Nazarene Church.  He worked for many years with Florida Power and Light as a trouble shooter and lineman and was also a longtime member of the I.B.E.W. in Fort Myers, FL.  Mr. Shaw served on the Columbia County Board of Tourism for 13 years and was the former owner of the E-Z Stop RV Park in Ellisville.  He enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with his family.  Mr. Shaw was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Jetter Shaw; two sons, Eddie Shaw and Kenneth Clifton; five brothers, JW Shaw, Melvin Shaw, David Shaw, Kenneth Shaw and Mack Shaw; and four sisters, Lucille Oliver, Pauline Giddens, Hazel Shaw and Audrey Cooper White.

Survivors include his wife, Lillie Harrison Shaw, Ft Payne, AL; his daughter, Donna Beard (David), Ft. Payne, AL; one sister, Joyce Darner (Trever), Valdosta, GA; two sisters-in-law, Laverne Shaw and Marlene Shaw, both of White Springs; one grandson, David Beard, Jr. (Ashley), Palatka; four great-grandchildren, Colby, Paisley, Adyson and Macy; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Shaw will be conducted on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Bro. Mark Walters officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM.
