Catherine Virginia Bailey Grim, 86, of Live Oak, FL, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 4, 2025. Born March 18, 1939 in Matoaka, WV, she was the youngest daughter of the late Clifton and Pauline Bailey. She was preceded in death by her brother, Clifton Bailey, Jr. and sister, Peggy Jett.
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Mark) Cundiff and Karen (Keith) Johnson and grandchildren David Johnson, Elijah Cundiff, Alyssa Johnson, Ethan Cundiff, Melanie Johnson, and Kelly Johnson.
Cathy was a loving mother who taught her daughters to love and serve Christ always. She was affectionately known as "Grammi" by her grandchildren whom she loved and cherished. Cathy lived her life devoted to Christ and guided by the teachings of the Holy Bible.
She loved teaching God's Word, playing the piano, and leading others to a personal relationship with Jesus. Cathy served as a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Choir Director and Church Pianist, and she filled numerous other roles during her lifetime. Cathy continued to bless people with her piano playing well into the final months of her life at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Live Oak, FL. She played the piano
regularly for church services and hymnal recitals. She now rests in the arms of the Savior, free from pain and sorrow.
A memorial service will be held at Northside Baptist Church in Charlottesville,VA, on Saturday, June 7, at 2:00 p.m., where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and rejoice in the promise of everlasting life.
