Carolyn M. Wilson, 94 of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at her home with her family.  She was born in Suwannee County, Florida to the late Carl Pasco Mills and Blonnie Horne Mills.  Mrs. Wilson grew up in Live Oak and was a graduate of Suwannee County High School class of 1945.  She was a longtime resident of Jacksonville and retired in 1975 from General Motors.  Mrs. Wilson has made Lake City her home since 1978 and retired in 1992 from the Lake City Community College.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Southside Baptist Church. She loved gardening, sewing and spending time with her family.  Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death her parents; her husband of 49 years, James H. Wilson in 2007; and her sister, Rachel Collins.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Howard Ellis, Lake City; three grandchildren, Randy Ellis, Ryan Ellis and Jessica Ellis all of Lake City; and five nieces and nephews, Rachel Griner, Lake City, Lanelle Hatcher (John), Arlington, GA, Carl Collins, Danny Collins,  and Bonnie Quasnick (Dan), all of Jacksonville; and numerous great nieces and nephews also survive.

Private graveside services will be conducted at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
